Thats a real coincidence, tomorrow morning will be the end of my first complete week of abstinance and like you i didn't miss it. I'll hopefully not fall off the wagon tonight as i'm on nights but you never know

Drinking at home is something i've never really done if we have friends round we'll have a drink and there is always plenty in just never gets drank now if i go out it's another story infact it's almost 6 months since i cut down on the amount i was going out and saved around (shit i've just worked it out ) embarrassed to post the amount next step smoking

I am on a self imposed drinks ban in an attempt to lose weight. I am allowed a bottle of wine on a Friday and thats it

Damed hard for a bottle of whiskey or several bottles of wine bloke like me

I even canceled my membership to the Sunday Times Wine Club

I have found since packing in the booze I sleep better.

Sadly I still count the hours and seconds till 6pm on a Friday when i can open a bottle

Yes I am sitting here with a glass as we speak.

I quite often go for a week or more without alcohol.

But this thread has made me a little thirsty. As it is Friday, and all i have tomorrow is housework and shopping, l may just finish the whole bottle. Posts later on could be interesting

I last stopped drinking sometime in 1987. I was on a residential course at the time learning to be a beancounter. 3 weeks no beer wine etc. It was OK, but not a situation I plan to try again.

It is Friday, I have had a tin of Ruddles, and there is a glass of St Emilion near by
