Whan I gave up six days a week for three months last year I hoped to lose some weight. I ran for 40 minutes 4/5 times a week during this time. Didn't lose a jot. It turned me to drink the frustration of it

Coincidently I've been abstaining from alcohol, crisps and sex.

But thankfully the Mrs is back from the off licence now. I hope she rememered the crisps.

Blimey Mark a whole bottle, any more than a glass and I fall asleep anyway and that's just while watching TV.

Yes it is in attempt to loose weight, so the eating habits have changed as well - knees are getting worse

well done, the first week is the hardest.


i now only have beer on a friday and saturday night.

I used to have 6 cans of export evry night, most fridays I end up having 2 cans and crashing out and I have 4 on the saturday. I feel better for it and have lost some weight.
