Several years ago, I realised that I was drinking a bit too much and spending too much cash on booze. I decided to take a full year off. Jan 1st through til midnight Dec 31st - that New Year was a blast !!

Didn't have any problem with not having alcoholic drinks during the year but got really sick of soft drinks in the pub.

I now drink only at weekends as I got sick of feeling like crap when I got up for work. The anticipation is great and it makes the drink taste even better.

Cheers

I gave up drinking at age 15 (before I really started). Didn't want to be like some of my mates were when they were drunk. I'm 34 now, and I still don't. I guess I just must be weird.

All the money I saved I used to spend on petrol driving my pissed up mates around

Alcohol, tobacco, sins of the flesh plus others (non-specified)

removing two or more is classed as cruelty to animals!, and is also barred by the geneva convention!

All things in moderation makes for a happy life, however long it is!

I could get hit by a bus tomorrow!, safer to stay indoors and drink, smoke etc..!

the giving up Tabs was easy. with some help from Mr. Patch.

I can't say i am a non smoker or an ex smoker. I am just not smoking, there are times I could hapily sell all my family for a ciggy but I know that if I have one I will start again, I am not doing this.

I gave up beer in the week to alleviate the weight gain from stopping smoking. has it worked , well to a point Yes I m now bottomed out at 115Kg 10Kg from what i was when i stopped smoking (125Kg yes I lost weight).I have realised I need to exercvise a lot more but don't have the time to, can you get machines to do it for you while you sleep ???.

again well done to all who have give something up and stuck with it

Blimey guys thanks, it isn't like I did something hard

The diet did go a little today I had the chilli nachos at Capernwray - now they really are nice, I did resist the hot chocolate.

Instead of my usual glass of wine I am sat here with a glass of water

if you had said you had the deco burger then I would have sympathy but yes the nachos are very nice
