| bearing in mind it was my idea, and I changed my mind immediately, and the enitre community says leave it alone, I suspect it won't be going anywhere! |

| keep em locked up with there own let them have their own little corner . nuting worse than a new diver asking a quesstion and getting there head filled with dir mubo jumbo its nice for the "more" experienced divers to pick their brains as we are able to make an educated decision

| You see Garf ive read quite a lot of the threads these last couple of nights unfortunately being sobber and i think that it boils down to a couple of things the main one being that your trip to Vobster has had a slightly advers effect on your brain it would appear that you have suffered a swerve rarther than a bend after spending part of the day looking at the sky and your yellow fins in Ore........ As a qualified proffessor of Talking Bo11ocks i would suspect that you need to pull your self together Man get your kit on and sit in the bath looking lovingly at our antiquaited fins while the swerve away from the dark side starightens its self out Failing that could the other chimps go round and give him a hug i think he needs one TAXI ![]()

| l was thinking along similar lines except... l'd say keep the DIR forum plus add a couple more, like a dir love in forum. l'd want all dir questions and all those 'aern't goo and der wonderfull ' posts to be in this forum which l don't want accesed when l click new posts.There....you did ask. Better still, when someone clicks on the dir forum it takes them to backslappers.com.

The 'us' and 'them' situation will stop as soon as people stop judging others by how they look or what their kit is. Garf, you didn't like it when someone did this to you the other day, but in my experience it happens a lot more to the non dirers. A prime example is a comment made by a well respected dir diver on these boards who acted as a safety diver on my mod 1 course as we walked past a group of divers being trained by an instructor who was wearing.............a bungied wing! All l could see was an instructor with trainies but my almost dir instructor(who later sold all his CCRs and did the last dive on my mod 1 in a DIR set up) and his safety diver had a conversation about it being a bad example yada yada yada.

| I think we should keep the DIR forum but we should have a gage on all the DIR divers for proximity of head to lower intestine. This way any one reading a thread by said DIR diver can see how the rest of the normal people have voted for his or her head up arsedness Perhaps a pile of salt beside the user name? Large pile big pinch.. that sort of thing. Just to balance it out we should have a Stroke meter beside the non DIR divers so any evangelical Non DIR comments could have an indicator as to how much of a DIR hater the diver is. So for Stroke perhaps an image of a wanker like say Chris Tarrent then progressing through Prince Charles right up to George Bush. I think such indicators would be a benefit to new members and a bit of a giggle ATB Mark Chase ![]()
