Now I realise that the production process will render this down into a foul tasting, yet benign end product . . .  but once you've seen it first hand, you just wouldn't want to.

I worked in the Bowyers sausage/pie factory a while ago and that made me look at meat products in a totaly new light &nbsp;
So what do you sugesst we diegest?
suppose the only way is grow our own produce, brew our own beer, and then make our own yeast extract products.
Sod it I have little enough lesure time!
Think I'll trust the MARMITE MATE !

Crap as a name for a cat and crap as a product, not pulling any punches on this one.

<font color='#810541'>mmmmm flies - that must be what it makes it so nutritious!!?? Ha! Little bit of fly, never urt anyone :-) They say, by the end of our life you will have eaten 30 or so of the dipterans anyways.... lavely!

Marmite MUST be eaten with butter. It is a SIN to have it with margerine. I tried that once and nearly puked! I disagree that you either love it or hate. For me, I have to be in the right mood for it. I used t hate and even would wrech at the smell and my sister would find great amusement chasing after me with an open jar, watching my face screw up as I ran to the barf-room.

But then one day, I was feeling adventurous and hungry, and I tried it, a tiny ickle bit one toast with butter, and then I had an ickle bit more, then some more.... and I was munching away thining, wow, this stuff is fantastic! Next time I had it after that I felt sick again.... and it kept going like that. Now I only eat it when I get cravings for it. Sometimes, every day for breakfast right through the week, then I don't get in the mood for months...

am I the only one like this??

I am a marmite freak!

Marmite - the one true faith.

Vegemite - heresy

(You might as well ask the Pope if Martin Luther 'had a point'!!)

Isn't Vegemite just Marmite mixed with washing up liquid?

The best breakfast in the world is 2 slices of buttered, marmited toast. Topped with a fried egg. Luv-er-ly!
