Interestingly I was flicking through my copy of this book...




..when I chanced upon a possible explanation. I believe the phenomenon Richard describes is known as guttocks, or more crudely, the bunt. It is a condition which particularly afflicts 'avoiders of leafy vegetables'. Now since Helen resides in the far North East, her diet is likely to consist almost entirely of offal and bottled beer. I would therefore suggest that far from her arse being the wrong way round, the doll is in fact an acurate facimile of she whom it is intended to portray.
