Good point Kirstie. Also, get rid of the bags straight away. Some while back I had a clear out but I put the black bags in the spare room for when I 'got round' to taking them to the tip and the charity shop. Most of the items found their way back into my wardrobe as the bags lay there for months.

Absolutely. We've got a PDSA shop a couple of doors away, so I can take the bags there immediately.

A couple of times I've gone past the shop, seen an item of clothing in the window, thought 'Ooh, that's nice' and realised it used to be mine. I haven't yet been tempted to buy anything back, though

Here`s my very manly-masculine tip.... (and IŽll be having none of that bisexual nonsense please!)
Make three piles as you take the stuff out of the closet ( I said... no nonsense now!)
1. deinititely Keeping that!
2. not sure
3. Aggghh...burn it!

when you`ve finished sorting the wardrobe out, without going through the piles again, bag up and bin piles 2 & 3.
