New breath hold record - David Blaine
Might not be recognised by the associations but a certain Mr David Blaine has just held his breath underwater for 17 minutes 4 seconds! Of course it might not be real,

With him, who knows - he's a showman at heart. His self-control is however very impressive. Overall, though, I'm not sure whether I'm really that interested in his achievements. His street magic is another matter - cool!

There are valid records based around breathing oxygen first - point is, they're pretty meaningless. Even before you start considering his "showmanship"... Indeed, the air-breathing ones are pretty meaningless too!!

I managed 24 seconds last week with just a snorkel. and for me thats a new personal record

I've a number of ideas for future stunts for this idiot, we've all seen the old circus entertainers catch bullet with their teeth, well i'm wondering if git boy could catch a whole magazine load from an AK47.

p.s he uses 100% O2 before the stunt, so in IMHO its cheating.
