Unhappy Sodding Weather!!
Could you all please do a 'no more rain' dance please?

Today, after several cancellations, Master Scubee has his final footy match of the season. If the win or draw, they win the league. If they lose, they will come second, and not to the team they are playing.

I have had an email from the coach saying that the pitch is a bit damp, but provided it doesn't rain any more, it should be playable tonight. I will get to go and watch

If it rains and makes the pitch soggier, then it will be played on Saturday. I am at Chepstow diving, so won't be able to watch

They are (rather grandly, I thought) carrying out a pitch inspection at 4pm. So I am sitting here, looking at the grey sky and hoping the match is on.

cancel the dive and do something else then its guaranteed to go ahead today

Whoo Hoo!! They won!!
Well, the match finally went ahead this evening. A nailbiting match, with some excellent play. 0-0 at half time and their coach gave them a good talking to. hey went on to win 2-0, so he must have said somethign right.

A win in the final match clinches the trophy for their last season as a 7-a side.

Master Scubee was last seen, covered in mud getting into his dad's car, grinning from ear to ear

If he isn't doing anything tomorrow can he play for Derby? If mothing else he may be able to remind them what it is like to win a game of football.
