| Depends whether you are one of the 80% or the 20% Dodge in Saudi promise that if you have your vehicle booked for routine service, drop off before 9am and no other work is required, they will have ready the same day. This is in writing in the service book. (This is important to me as I live in one country, work in another and need the car to travel each day. It is a real pain to try to organise a relacement car with all of the customs paperwork and insurance) Last service went something like, Me (at 8am): so what time will the car be ready Them: tomorrow evening sir. Me: Sorry that's not right, it's a routine service and I need it back today. Them: It's a big service and will take 2 days Me: No it isn't, and your company guarantees to have it back in 1 day Them: that's only for small service sir Me: no it isn't, its for all routine service work, look (show hin the service book statement) Them: but we are very busy this week, too many cars: Me: then you shouldn't have said you could service it today then. When will you be able to do this in a day. Them: we are always very busy, not enough mechanics. it alwys takes 2 days. Me: last time only took 1 day. Could I speak to the service manager please Them: he's not here Me: yes he is he's over there in his office, I can see him through the window Them: he must have just come back Me: Yeah right Eventually spoke to the manager and got it sorted, and yes it came back the same day, but they hadn't done the complimentary wash & clean. |

| Blimey John is that at a dealership ? I have always had excellent service from Honda, they come and pick the car up and deliver it back, I did generally tell them I needed it back about half an hour before I left work but normally they were good. |

18 month ago my Daimler Double Six (6.0L V12) went in because the coolant expansion tanks kept bursting. To cut a long story short....... They took the engine out. Took the cylinder heads off. Ground them flat. Put it all back together. Fixed all the leaks. Gave it back to me this week. The cost was approx £300 in parts and £200 for doing it.....bargain if you ask me! Filled it up with petrol yesterday - £10. Must be only a 15 gallon tank. Service for my Durango - £30 for oil change etc. I can empathise with John. You have to have lived in the Middle East to understand. Neil
