Help please! I need some steel...
...mild, 14mm x 14mm, about 1000mm long.

Does anybody know where I can find a few pieces of mild steel as above? The dimensions are a moveable feast...

I'd be grateful for any ideas. I have no idea where to look.

Please help, or I'll have to grovel to Woz and that will hurt.

B&Q's have a rack of extruded ally, steel, angle iron etc etc, you might find something around the 1m mark 14mm square there.

No idea about cost though.........

Go and grovel to a few nice and friendly steel fabricators to see if they have any offcuts.

You must have a steel gate manufacturer nearby, wrought iron and the like... it's amazing what you can get for a few quid from them... or a blacksmith?

Steel fabricators (I'm one) may have some... I haven't got any in stock, or I'd pop some in the post to you.
