Motor bike alarm

Not sure whether this should be in toys section or not. Has anyone used one of these before? Or and alternative?

Thanks in advance.

Thumbs down

I take it that's not meant to actually be a motorbike alarm?

This is a toy, surely....

No, I've not used one of these. I only have had Metasystems or Datatool alarms fitted.

"2 tough chrome metal remote key fobs".

Nice.

Just what I wanted, my top yoke scratched to hell...

as has been said before, meta or datatool - professionally fitted.

all other alarms are crap.

almost all electrical faults i have ever delt with on bikes originate from 'extras' that have been fitted.

yup my Mech counterpart in work has spent the best part of £200 to get rid of a crappy alarm on his bike that drains the battery like a Jock jakey sups buckie.

his word as it went away on the back of a trailer

" should have bought a fecking datatool one, would have been cheaper in the long run"

I got a pro fitted Metta... didn't give me a days worry in 8 years, its been a great alarm.... also you need to have it pro fitted to qualify for the insurance reduction. It was dear.... £350 to get it done, but he came to my work to do it, and its been 100% reliable. Thats worth paying for in my book.

Another vote for Meta, bomb proof, never had any problems with mine - I've fitted them to the last 4 bikes I've had

I had a Meta on my Sprint, it went wrong, it was a dealer only removal job, which would have been ok except it killed the ignition circuit, so it was a trailer job. I dont like aftermarket 'stuff'.

O to have a bike worth stealing... I'm stuck with my ancient BMW R80. I am tempted to get it back on the road tough. It just needs a full service and some new valves for the tyres. Oh and a new battery + MOT.

Hmmm - I wonder how much the insurance will be now that I am an ancient git.
