Got a problem with my PC, I think the answer is on the above site but I need a log in - does anyone have one?

Problem:
Recently got complaint from users in organisation using Windows XP that they could not open JPG images sent from our Art department who are using MACS.

They open on my laptop, they open on other users PC, they DO NOT open on my desktop - My IT team say it's nothing to do with the update they did earlier in the week!!!!!!

Help.

Sorry no login, but...

What programs are you using to create the images and what are they trying to open them with?

Jpgs are a fairly universal format so if you cant open them id blame the computer that they are not opening on rather than the sender.

you may need to install / update quicktime on the PC to view images from the macs correctly. that's been an issue for me with mac TIFF files.

Thanks for that link Adrian. Very useful - been having the same problem with one of my clients for the last couple of weeks. That explains it... Fed up of being told the problem was at my end!
