Ozz - out of all the places I've lived, it had the life-style, attitude, opportunity, sang-froid, humour, banter, terms of reference, sense of perspective, no-nonsense, ability to accept change, ability to bitch about change (a refreshing attribute this, at times), openness, 'close enough to being like home but not quite' for an ex-pat type gig going on.

The Maldives, where I lived for nigh-on two and a half years, would be a close second, but not to live there for good, but to spend goddly dollops of time.

Good luck to ya mate. Hope you can live with your eventual choice. Failing that, move on and choose somewhere else.

Thanks for the replies, things sort of went mega &quot;PeteTong&quot; on Sunday night, head wasn't clear, was planning for a what-if scenario that was probably about 24hours ago was going to happen, but hopefully with some changes things are heading back in the right direction.
