Change of Life

Your whole world collapses in on itself with a 15 minute conversation, you decide to sell your house, you probably come through the situation with about £15-£20K in cash after settling your financial matters.  

You are stuck in a dead-end IT job not going anywhere except watching colleagues jobs being sent to India, you have only worked in IT so no other career to fall back on.  

Tonight you can get on a plane and start your life again with the money in your wallet ?

Oz - just waiting for people with some get up and go, most of the Ozzies I met were too involved in lazing around and living easy. Not a bad idea I suppose but no way to earn money.
Only been to Perth so apologies if its not the usual situation elsewhere.

UK money is worth about twice what its worth in the UK.

Spent my childhood dreaming of becoming a marine biologist - exam results meant I had no hope, but whilst on honeymoon at a marine reserve in Kenya (Wattamu Bay), snorkelled with a marine biologist who works and lives there - I'd happily be an unpaid assistant and then when I fancy a break from the research, pop along to the dive centre and go diving!

Sorry hope no offence taken. Seriously I would take the Oz option without a doubt. Melbourne would be the place I would go to if I was serious about career (to fund diving) and Brisbane if I wanted to party.
