I fall into that category, I wish I could come up with something half decent. I have a tribal band ( my brother had it put on him a few months later too) and a celtic banding and not your run of the mill tosh either. its difficult to find exactly the right one.

I find that comment quite alarming. she may think you are freak for donning rubber gear and going underwater. normality is very subjective, she isn't hurting anybody else least of all animals or kids. what is the issue? is it because it is different to your way of thinking?

Surely there are more elegant ways of shouting "look at me!!!!!! I'm brave and I'm different". But then, normality is subjective, yes.

| I think its unlikely that she paid for that, more likely that the guy did it for the cred. He certainly has had some practice though, cos he did a fairly neat job. But yes, getting a piece that big is bonkers. She'll have to be really careful about sun exposure and more..... |

| Its pretty extreme having your flesh removed, I have two tattoo's, one on my right upper arm (was drunk when got it done) and one on my right calf which took nearly 6 hours to do, got it in Thailand and was the most painful experience as the nerves below the back of your knee joint are really sensitive, have my tongue pierced, have that 9 years now, did have my ears and other bits done but working in an office I had to remove some. Some can look very bad and its down to getting a good artist and one who uses good ink, sure isnt it something to show the grandkids!

With regards to Henna, nothing wrong with it at all as long as you get it done properly - ie, not from a street vendor who looks a bit dodgy. Apparently the same (short term) or simmilar effect can be achieved by mixing in bleach into the powder. Get it done properly and safley - as with all body mods ![]() Thanks GI Joe! One more thing, for those considering tattoos, the design is certainly key, but getting a decent artist to do it for you who takes an interest in your design is just as important edit: Can a passing mod edit that picture so it shows up assuming it's not too big, not the msot technically gubbinated when it comes ot forums!
