There was the legend of the body factory from World War I, bodies returned to Germany for rendering for chemicals to fuel the war effort. Solves all the problems.

what actualy does the government make in taxes per litre! ?
isnt it 65% fuel tax +vat as well ! which makes it around 80 % tax
im sure i read in the paper that out of every £10 of fuel £8 of it goes to the
treasury in tax!
im all for being green and trying to do my bit on reducing the carbon footprint
i wonder if the biggest polluting nation on the globe is putting up fuel taxes to
offset envioromental issues? yes america? i dought they are !
I'm wondering how long the countries that subsidise the cost of fuel will be able to continue to do so. Then you may see availability go up for those left who can afford the fuel cost - who ever they are.

Quoting from a very wise chappie in another thread -
"Just a very quick "back of an envelope" calculation - figures refer to UK.
So -
- Using 1 l. of petrol in a vehicle produces about 2.31 kg of CO2
- Carbon Offsetting schemes (where you can "buy" offset of CO2 you've used for say air travel) charge around £ 9 / tonne of CO2 - equivalent to 0.9 pence / kg.
- Petrol Duty in the UK is of the order of £ 0.50 / l. (thats a low figure - it's a bit old, and for the lowest tax band of petrol)
Therefore - if we used only 10% - 5 p. - of the fuel tax duty to support carbon offset schemes, that would offset MORE THAN double the CO2 produced.
- 1 l. petrol produces 2.31 kg CO2.
- To offset this would cost (2.31 X 0.9) = 2.08 pence.
- Fuel tax duty paid on this 1 l. of petrol = 50 pence (or more)
So, drive that Range Rover with pride - any prudent administration would surely use the revenue from fuel duty to offset the carbon dioxide produced, and the rest of the money for general good works for the country. Electric cars? Unpatriotic!"

The mountain of corpses would produce some unplesant smells and pollutants, however I dont think they would produce a major amount of CO2, only trouble is the maths don't add up, there aren't enough chav's and benefit scroungers in this country (yet) to make up 60% of the worlds population.
As CO2 levels are lower now than they have been over the last 70,000,000 years, I would say that "carbon footprints" and a lot of similar bo££ocks that is often quoted in the press should be disregarded as uninformed and made up crap, and if its from a politician, a total and compleat lie.
That said on economic, and only on economic grounds, I am contemplating running my f*%king great 4x4 on vegtable oil.
Lobbocks to that. I'm 50 and couldn't give a toss.
1. The world will be a much nicer place without humans on it.
2. I want a big FCUK off car with a powerful motor.
3. I'll die happy knowing all those gobby loud mouth violent twats around the world are going to get theirs!
4. I hope they get old before they 'get theirs'!
5. No. NOT bitter and twisted.
ps: Should I prove to be VERY long lifed or lived then I quite fancy living in a post apocolyptic world.
