The Solstice

Well the good news for me is that yesterday was the shortest day of the year, midwinter in fact and excepting a bit of chilly weather to come over the next 6-8 weeks, it's all downhill to Summer, which in practical terms goes from November to the end of March and the calm clear Autumn weather only really broke on Friday night.

The bad news for the rest of you is that Old Man Winter is already looming

Thank god for that! I have just been playing with my cars power steering pump. It is 42 degC with 80% humidity. I was standing in my own puddle of sweat while I bolted things back on

It will soon be winter and time to get the bbq back out. Winter here being 25 degC........

Think you could be right. Today's the first day I've been blown out in the UK this year. And I had some new toys to play with too

Of course! I have two fridges in my kitchen....one is full of beer. I think the other has food in it - waste of a good fridge if you ask me. Although it does give me somewhere to put the steaks before they go to the bbq.

Women in bikinis are allowed on the beach and certainly on our boats.
