Rambo 4

Ok, before anybody says it I'm a sad barsteward! I happen to really enjoy the Rambo films and have been eagerly awaiting my pre ordered copy of the new one.

It came yesterday so last night, after junior had gone to bed, I sat in front of the telly, 2 bottles of real ale at the ready (would normally have been 4 - 5 so kinda still on the wagonish )

Excellent film, all you would expect from Mr Stallone, blood guts death and destruction, some great effects and a reasonable story with an interesting ending.

I had a couple of interuptions whilst watching, new puppy needing to go outside, so i did hit the pause button a couple of times and lost track of the time.

When it finished I thought to myself that it seemed to be over a bit quick (like most things in my life )


1 Hour 15 Mins what's that all about. I haven't had chance to check the run times of the first 3 films but i'm sure they were longer.

I know some of you will say thats 1hr 15min too long but IMHO it's a bit of a rip off and i'll tell Sly the next time I see him

Seemed a good length in the cinema. Though was there with all the lads from work after a couple of hours in the bar. Don't know how we were aloud in!

Good film though

Watched it a couple of days ago on DVD with some beers. Didn't notice the runtime but was good blood & guts escapism.

...but don't confuse it with the real thing. There is nothing escapist about that and its run time is a lot longer. It stays with you for 40 years (and counting).

I wasn't confusing it will reality and am fully aware of "the real thing".

I'd like to believe that no one thinks, even for a minute, that these films portray the real thing and it's just pure escapism. Maybe i'm wrong.
