Imported post Honestly you young people and your machines needing replacing every two years. I'm about to give mine the kiss of death and say its 5 yrs old, windows pah dos and be damned. Anyone of you teenagers heard of cpm operating system, back in the old days when wordstar ran off twin floppies and I dont mean them big ones neither, size of dinner plates they were. Single sided too. Ah the good old days!!!! My machine had less hard disk that you lot have in ram. Matt

Imported post <font color='#000080'>I remember having an Amstrad, which my mother gave away! All those classic games! And it only took 10 minutes to turn on! I just can't believe how much this thing was 2 years ago, and what it costs now. Damned innovations. It's about half the price, and this was cutting edge then! Now it's a buy your kids for playing games PC while the powerful one is reserved for important stuff (if you believe what Dell and people tell you)

Imported post <font color='#000080'>I wouldn't bother with a Lapdog Mary, I'd go for a nice PC from Dell etc.. I personally just upgrade my puter myself for Much Cheapness from Ebuyer.co.uk. Mines got 512 thingys and a 2400 athlon wotcha-call-it, two hundred bucks 9 months ago. Much cheeper and easyer to upgrade are Desktops/towers than Lapdogs. Get a nice puter knoledgable person locally to upgrade for you. obviously not me as I can't spel. Take care honey, Dave C
