You do realise such things are still being manufactured, along with nine-track tapes?  You may also wish to consider that my SPARCstation 10 is still in use and I may even be able to lay my hands on a SunOS 4 boot tape.

Now it's a buy your kids for playing games PC while the powerful one is reserved for important stuff (if you believe what Dell and people tell you)
<font color='#0000FF'>Wow, half the price. &nbsp;I bought my first laptop in 1995, nice little toshiba loaded with usual stuff cost me nearly £3000. Regretted giving it away to a guy I knew. &nbsp;You can buy half a dozen for that price now.

Second one cost me £750 from Tesco. &nbsp;I am now trying to upgrade it with a bigger hard disc, loaded it yesterday with XP although not sure if this was a good idea. &nbsp;

Halcyon days, Salad years....
Bren,
I just hapen to have a few VT100 terminals lying around at work (could let you have say 5000 of them if you wanted!), would you like a VAX to go with that?

Pah, I have a Spectrum 32 cluttering up a cupboard at home - yes, that is 32K - and am currently dead pleased that a mate of mine's going to donate his old BBC micro to my soon-to-be-burgeoning collection of pooters that I used to lust after when I was a lad. &nbsp;So if anyone's got an Oric-1, a Dragon 32 (alright, I didn't lust after those), a CBM 64 (much lust), VIC20 (no lust, but historical value), ZX80 or ZX81 (oh gawd) or any of the old classics from that halcyon era then I'll take them off you for a reasonable consideration. Definitely no VT100s. No profiteering in mind BTW, simple nostalgia. F*ck me, I shouldn't be coming out with the nostalgia bollocks age 35 but there y'go.
Yes I know, I needed to get out more in those days. &nbsp;Come to think of it, I need to get out more these days, but those damned bars on the windows get in the way and my room door is awfully thick. &nbsp;Thankfully the duvet-covered walls in here mean I can batter myself to sleep without incurring too many scars.

Sparc 10! &nbsp;Quality, but not quite up their with the classic Sun 3/60

VT100, positively modern, bring on the VT52 and Wyse52.

Actually my first job was looking after 2 Vax 11/780's, some microvax 2's and a Gandalf PACX mk2. &nbsp;The PDP 11 was just being phased out by the company.

Aaahhh them were the days, you knew when you had a disk crash by the smell when you entered the computer room and more flashing lights than you could shake a stick at.

In my defence I started very young &nbsp;
