I heard what i thought were fighter jets at lunchtime, the sound is quite unmistakable even though I was in a newsagents at the time, so I didn't see anything. &nbsp;I'm in Westminster which is near the Heathrow flight path.

They're practicing timing and routes for a fly past in a few weeks ( &quot;Coastal Command Flypast &quot; )

Most of the form up work was done over east anglia.

Expect 2 or 3 more such flights before whatever it is theyre doing it for.

The &quot;passenger jet&quot; would be the Nimrod - our main ASW plane with 2 Tornados on its wings.

The RAF Coastal Command Service of Thanksgiving actually took place on Tuesday at Westminster Abbey.
