At our place we get about £200 a year but this is also increased with our yearly pay award so next one will be around £210 and it comes in our xmas pay so its a nice little bonus ( the only one we get )

We don't get paid extra for FAAW or Fire Warden training... but they do pay for the training, so its something I don't have to pay for personally to keep up-to-date...

(although they often screw up the re-training, so we end up having to do a "new" 4 day course, instead of the 2-day refresher...)

Would also be interested in the results, because if I could persuade work that "best practice is to pay their FA/Fire wardens, they may change the policy... in aobut 20 years time!

Andrew

I've just put a guy through this course.

He passed.

Cheeky little sod said... now I've done this, do I get a pay rise?

I told him... no ....

sigh... but seeing this thread, looks like I ought to be paying something...

Pete

Fire Marshall - No
First Aider - Yes, can't remember how much, but <£100 a year... (Also saves me paying PADI for EFR!)

I would do it for free though.

Daniel.
