Red face Germany 3 - Turkey 2
Just watched the game and I have to say: I am embarrassed. Being German and having been a football fan for the best of 40 years I have to ask myself if I've ever seen a German team as bad as this one. We didn't deserve to win, the Turks were better and in the end we were just lucky. Rest assured, this German team will never win the Final.
Totally disappointing.

The aren't great, but I said at the start that I thought they'd take some beating. Though I want Spain to win.

The England squad is IMO much better, but they can't do what Germany are doing and grind out the results when it really matters, I know which I'd prefer .

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Spain (or Russia) outplay the Germans in the final, but Germany still win.

My bet is Germany to play Spain in the final and Germany will win. I will want Spain to win even though they will have smug faces whenever I cross the border! It is about time Spain need to het some silverware but reckon they will no go over the final hurdle.

Blinking heck andreas - snap out of it At the end of the day Germany didn't play particularly well, but they got the result. However, Germany did play well against Portugal, particularly in the first half, so I reckon they have some football left in them. At the end of the day Turkey failed to capitalise on their chances, even with Germany's absymal defending, whereas Germany put their few chances away. Nobody wins trophys through ambition or pretty play alone.
