Just returned to the boodwar,(don't know what it means let alone spell it right!) after a great concert by a band called "Talon".

These guys are an Eagles tribute band, hence the name, and are superb. They've been around a while and this was their 2nd visit to Oban.

They are one of the finest tribute bands I have seen without a doubt. Their vocal harmony is fantastic and they can play REAL instruments as well. In fact, the "new" member of the group, guitarist Tony Vegas,(not Johnny   ), plays like a man possessed and it's a mystery to me why he's not world famous, yes, he's that good!!

Know what ya mean mate: I'm 'reduced' (no great chore as they are quite excellent) to seeing 'The Australian Pink Floyd' coz the real deal aint necessarily in a mood for touring! Last saw THE Floyd in '87, couldn't get tickets for their last tour in '94? They sold out in four nano-seconds! Bugger.

Nevermind, Mssrs Davies, Walker and I are off to see Yes in Manchester in June! Happy Days! I've got a US and Ozzie contingent coming over for the gigs (4 in the UK), so should be a bit of a UN type boots-fill!

And yes, the Eagles are a superb band.
