As I've recently had a conversation with my boss that started with &quot;do you want to ask a colleague to sit in with you on this meeting&quot; and ended up with me having more time to spend in the garden, I thought I would ask how many of us were similarly afflicted?

Of course, it could just be statistical clustering!

Handed in my notice today - still feeling a bit weak at the knees! However a new and very promising opportunity lies ahead so hopefully will all work out for the best!

Last choice, but I must admit, I never look at YD at work, I am simply too busy. I don't know how so many others manage it and if I had that kind of free time I would be wondering how safe my job was.

A career, hmmm.....I'm sure someone told me I should get one of those at some point. Anyone know where I get one, what is the best one to go for and how much they cost

PhD probably suffered at the hands of YD, that is the best thing about being in a lab, no one really minds how long you are staring at a computer for!

Paul

It depends on what you do.. in my case... I have periods of peak activity brought on by external events (such as release of international financial data) or specific client interests. The rest of the time I wait and watch. &nbsp; When I AM doing what I actually get paid to do, I'm talking into a Madonna like set of headphones and a bunch of loudspeakers on my desk (lots of shouting and screaming). There is no paperwork at all involved in what I do, so basically my hands are free to fiddle about on a keyboard most of the time.... and of course, being a woman, multi-tasking comes naturally anyway..

But the point is, I'm not actually neglecting my job by playing around on the odd forum...

<font color='#000080'>Should find out tomorrow the result of my grievance against my Line Manager. Looks like they are trying to whitewash it. Looks like an appeal then ACAS. Oh joy.

Anyone need an IT Support Analyst?
