Word derivations.
Does anyone know of a good source of info for the derivation/source of words' origins or " A HISTORY OF WORDS"?

I know I have asked similar about phrases and sayings in the past but I wondered if there is any such tome for words? I expect a lot of words to have latin origins and other languages.

For example does the word COUNTY derive from the word COUNTRY? Country? I wonder what sort of tree that was?
