To his credit, he changes them for proper shoes before entering Mrs Miggins' house of vagrants and neer do wells. I do have standards to maintain.

I was on a boat in Scapa recently... and rather than going from lace up shoes to drysuit etc, most ppl moved over to crocs.... problem was there were 4 blokes with xxl feet who bought black ones....

the little "charm" things were the only way to tell them apart! (1 person was inventive and left the price tags on!!) I ended up with Pirate flags on mine!

It took me ages to be pursuaded, now I use them on poolside (for teaching swimming) or on boats....
