| If planning on doing diving or any "extreme" sport then go for Snowcard/Activcard. They will cover your injury whilst engaging in your hobby where many travel insurance policies won't or specifically restrict you to 18m. Ski and Snowboard insurance, climbing insurance and travel insurance for activity holidays If not then just go onto Cheap loans | mortgages | credit cards | home & car insurance - moneysupermarket.com and select the cheapest one that covers your requirements. You can check Money Saving Expert: Consumer Revenge - Credit Cards, Shopping, Bank Charges, Cheap Flights and more for some common sense answers to levels of cover. |

| The usual well known dive specific insurers should suit your needs. I use Buddyindepth but lots of people will recommend Divemaster or Westfield. |

| Snowcard looks interesting, more expensive than Buddyindepth but twice as much on the medical expenses. But make sure you choose the depth limits carefully, I clicked on 40+ metres to get a £97 quote for a 24 day trip. The one thing I like about Buddyindepth is you are insured to your qualification limit which I like even if I don't intend to dive that deep on the trip. |

I've looked at a number of policies that insure you to XX depth - you are in touble if you go over that. I looked at one that would insure me to my qualification (DL) if I told them what dives would be over 25m - in advance -no use to man nor beast if you're in Bali etc. Westfield takes me to my qualification or that of my instructor if I'm under tuition. | Would recommend Westfield...I've also claimed from them in the past and they were superb...very efficent and very helpful on the phone.. |

| Another for Westfleld. Mark of a good insuerer is the response when it all goes wrong. Very quick and very efficient - highly reccommended. |

| Want a laugh, my travel insurance which has covered me for diving in Egypt and Malta plus loads of other normal holidays is Help the Aged. Covers diving down to 30 metres......... they had to check with their underwriters first though. Probably don't get asked the diving question much! Don't think I'd recommend it for your trip though. You should have seen the faces of emperor divers in sharm when they read what I'd put on my form. Cheers Lyv
