Ok people.
For all you diving junkies who are out there, and have just passed thru winter and once again your into the joyous swing of wet water, good visibility and good buds..

So what did every one do to keep the diving habit at bay, while the world has turned to shite, and thers ice on most pieces of water that you see.
I can see a lot of alcj\hohol being consumed to help keep the diving doldrums at bay..
its soon to be winter, the first snow is on the mountains

I think that your photo answers your question.

I can see 5 (well 4 and a half) answers to what to do during those long winter months

In a word
Quarries.
Wet and cold but who cares it stops the kit drying out.
Useful for testing new stuff before the Summer Season (?) starts.

Steve

assume the majoirt of you guys use wet suits. Are drysuits gaining in popularity over there?

I guess also I would go skiing over your winter.

<font color='#736AFF'>Drysuit and quarry diving. Achieved thirty dives since September. Stoney is much quieter over the winter and car park spaces are available. I wear extra thermals and life is good. Guildy can even have clear water.

funnily enough the last time I went to Guildy, two divers surfaced out of the murk and where most upset as they reckond that theyd started off at Stoney. &nbsp;

We had amazing viz at Guildy on 28th Dec for a club dive - 10-15m. I am not exaggerating, other times it has been the usual couple of metres.
I have also met up with several YD folk there. (Hi to Simon and Frogman   )

Car park spaces are at Stoney are freely available for Jan and Feb at the weekend, but filling up nicely now, so not worth the trip.

cant say i know any one with a drysuit,
A couple of my mates have semi drys.
We dive in a lot of volcanic rock and I think personally a drysuit would take a pretty good battering
