| Great car loved the fold flat 7 seats and the modern interia but a gutless engine makes it iritating to drive. Make sure you get the 185bhp D-5 version as the 165 is truly awfull. Handling is not bad and its very comfortable. Equipmnet levels are a bit low even on the SE moddle. (But then i was switching from a Jeep which has every toy in it as standard) Massivly over priced new (10K more than the Jeep) but S/H they make a lot more sense. If they had the engine out of the Jeep in them they would be fantastic The Jeep Grand Cherokee has the best engine, the best handling, the best toys and the worst interior of all of them (only 5 seats and crap finish on everything) ATB Mark

| I had one, and a grand cherokee before it, XC90 is a super dive car, loads of room, but ours just got too expensive re fuel, it was a petrol and did 16 mpg. If I had tons of dosh I'd have another, probably the diesel, I don't think I ever needed the extra oomph of the petrol, and probably should have bought the diesel in the first place. The Garnd Voyager I had in between would possibly have been the best dive car, not 4WD, but huge, flat and could move seats dead easy. I would consider one of the newer ones with fold down seats.

the c5 est 160bhp 2ltr D has been a fantastic car 116000 on the clock and its not even 3years old and touch wood never broken down or had any major repairs.so the xc90 will be a scrummy car? Last edited by essexbloke : 22-07-08 at 10:28 PM. |

If you can put up with the yummy mummy or drug dealer tag as an alternative X5's are really superb cars. My opinion - hope it helps G . |
