Now, think carefully, was it really a slow worm or a bit of heat induced movement where there may not have been movement for a while

It was 27 degrees in Cornwall today, clocked a water temp of 19 on a shore dive!

The worst thing about warm weather in Britain is the humidity coming off the sea with the usual SW wind. Back in M/cr, I used to sweat like a pig in 25C and was really dreading the weather here, especially when I saw the Queen on a visit to Melbourne & it hit 40C.

When I eventually got here, I was pleasantly surprised as those sort of temps here are usually accompanied by low humidity (in SE Aus anyway) and I found that I coped with 35C in Aus much better than 25C in UK....apart from the place catching fire every time we have a few weeks of dry weather of course, that can be something of a pisser at times.

(This does not apply to the wet tropics, such as Cairns or Darwin)

The other thing that also saves us is that we office types are allowed to turn up for work in shorts, provided they are respectably tailored & accompanied by sensible footwear.

I'll never forget my snooty pea-brained sister in law visiting here & telling me, with a perfectly straight face, that none of the men in Sydney could possibly get any proper work done if they weren't wearing proper suits for work.

Do you have to wear those long socks? Or is that just bus drivers?

Jason
(currently in work in shorts and sensible flip flops)

Weymouth is HOT. I don't know how hot. I've just packed the car and off to Chesil to hunt for the sea horse.

Right, there's no point in beating about the bush, this needs to be cleared up.

If men get betty swollocks in this weather, what do ladies get?
