Thunderbugs - what purpose do they have!

I have just been out to the garage to put some stuff away and was gone about 3 minutes. Once back indoors I found I was covered in what we call "Thunderbugs", or as some call "Harvest Flies!"

I keep feeling as though they are still on me, they're horrible.

Can anyone please tell me exactly what purpose in life they serve? I know they only live extremely short lives and seem to come out around harvest time, but I reckon they are here purely just to annoy humans and cover your washing on the line.

Rather like those bloodsucking little Midgie Flies.

Some ba$tarrd left a banana in the office over the weekend and now we've got fruit flies everywhere. As soon as I'm in the office I start itching and spend my day killing the little buggers to no avail

The flies are there as a vessel is required for all the reincarnations of evil souls. They are there to satisfy the urge to squish.

So, they are there for squishing.

Little Bastards!!

I always wondered what them little fuckers were called. I always thought they were some kind of flying any or something but now I know better

Wehad them here about 3 ish weeks ago for about 2 days. Fuckers were every where and yes, you just feel life they're in you hair all day.

I was driving into hospital to visit the wife and one had the misfortune to flyinto the resident spiders web on my wing mirror.

He done got Fucked!!!
