| Which Broadband Provider? Finally going to join the modern world and ditch my dial up for ADSL. Wondering if any of you good people have particular loves/hates about the slew of providers out there? I'm looking for a fairly basic 512k service, can stomach a max GB per month, want low cost but not at expense of reliable service. Pipex/Telewest/Wanadoo(ex Freeserve) all look competetive....? I know there was a similar thread previously, but I can't dig it out, maybe lost in the great porg-driven crash Thanks for your help, Dave.

| Cable I'd recommend Telewest. But that's because I am a (new) company man!

| Telewest Telewest or NTL if you can get it is much faster than most and less prone to down time, Also has less problems with bandwidth as more people come on line. |

| Been using Telewest for about two years, recently they upped the speed from 512k to 768k , for nowt! Customer service is good IME, one very satisfied customer here, and that's saying quite a lot as I'm half-way to being Victor Meldrew |

| We went for Telewests 256k Broad(ish)band connection as its fast enough for what I use the internet for. Not much downloading done by us. Dave C |

| I vote for Pipex Been with them a couple of months. Had to phone them once (my fault) and was through to someone who knew his arse from his elbow in about 2 seconds. Plus it was a doddle to set up. Laters, Janos
