Reputation

Sorry to bring this subject up again, but I had to laugh when I saw the comments about various levels of reputation.

I thought the previous highest level of reputation ("known by everyone") was faintly amusing, but now HelenM is a "splendid one to behold"!

So well done Helen!

Perhaps reminding folks that "Audrey Hepburn was a tawdry old splapper" might not be putting your best foot forward here, H!

I'll get mi coat...

Don't be overly surprised if you find some smints fizzing quietly in the bottom of your bottle of scotch in Mull this weekend will you? I'm sure it'll taste delightful.

I've always thought Katharine H was way cooler than Audrey anyway - very feisty as opposed to a bit of a sap - and I love 'Bringing up Baby'... And KH would definitely have said something similar...!

That would be my bottle of Scotch then, would it? Woeful deployment!

Is that 'me myself Bren I personally' think that it's woeful? A typo is somewhat less reprehensible than a tautology my good man. You are still barred from pedants' corner.

Oh, and incidentally, whilst on the subject of deployment, what, pray, is a

Mean, but defensible, considering the 6am camera-strobe fest Jules inflicted upon you that time.

Bren, it just seem soooo wrong referring to fine single malts as "Scotch" as if you were necking Chivas Regal or Crown Royale like our American cousins, that's the kind of correctitude to administer to H in these circumstances , to be followed later in the week by another S of M ass-paddling after a few sherries

Carry on folks, this has potential

Re actresses of a bygone age, yeah, Hepburn definitely had more character, but I'd like to put in a vote for Lauren "You know how to whistle don't you...?" Bacall, the term sultry could have been invented just for her, and not forgetting Julie Christie, see Dr Zhivago - whoa!!! impossibly beautiful, so you can forgive Omar sharif for being a bit of a t*** to the other girl.

Young YD-ers, ask your parents (or Grand-parents!) who we're on about
