Excellent idea....

A short while ago, a member whos name escapes me posted a thread called 'yours for the postage', which struck me as an excellent idea, and a very nice gesture.

Before 'the crash' a post was made, again by a member whos name escapes me (seems to be a pattern here!) called RAK.... or Random Acts of Kindness. This was a similar idea, but a little more complicated.

So on this theme, how would people feel about joining in, in a similar vein? Perhaps you have some kit you no longer need, nothing major just the usual bits and bobs that tend to accumulate, how would you feel about giving them away?
Someone could well benefit from that bit of kit gathering dust!

How about if you got something, you then had to offer something?

Answers on a postcard....or simply reply!

Ian

We could start our own swap shop - me as Mr Edmonds (naturally), Andy as the cheeky (wannabe alcoholic) Keith Cheegwan and Porg as Maggie Philbin!

Could I be the one that rings up like when Five Star were on and call them a bunch of ****ers?!

I think it's a good idea, I've got a few clips and lanyards going spare and would love to swap them for a nice eclipse 30!

All the best,

Ian

This is going two ways now! Remember the origional idea was just to give something away for the cost of the postage - just to show how generous we all are to fellow divers! However running along side this, the swap shop angle is very cool!

Swop shop

It was my beloved who suggested a YD version of RAK
In her little world of craft hobbies (all women are crafty) the people post desires and someone tries to fulfil he desire. My beloved receives and posts about three gifts a week. She receives a lot of fun from the process.

Maybe we could set it up as a trading post of some sort?

I have a spare Oceanic mask-blue hardly used, Green force Tristar head, willing to swop

Perhaps Yellow Butty Box or anglsea Diver have a spare boat to swap?
