heated gloves

would need a bit more info on the gloves i.e how much current do they take ? How long would you like the battery to last. As a general rule say if the gloves take 2 amps, and you have a 4 amp-hour (Ah) battery set you can expect approx 2 hours heat.

I made up a set of 4.1Ah batteries into a 12v pack when i melted the battery of my uk800 in the sea and it cost about £23, a universal charger from CPC @ preston cost me £12. So all depends on how many batts you can put in your pockets

I wouldnt recomend lead acid batts as even the sealed ones can leak and theyre heavy. Nickel Metal Hydride are very good but must not come into contact with salt water.

I use citec dry gloves from jan-april ish, do you suffer enough to warrent all this extra task loadin ?

Karl

Smile Heated inners

Hi Karl the inners take 2 amps 24 watts @ 12 volts this is from the discription .I don`t understand these figures. I would like the batt to last about 4 hours or more . is there any pre made batt packs you can buy that would do the job as would not have a clue how to put it all thogether .
thanks Fiona.

Thumbs up Dont use acid

hay dont use lead acid could be quite nasty. there are lots of nicad and nim batteries about that could be coerced into doing the job but didn't the manufacturers recomend or even sell something.

Why bother......

Just get a pair of silk undergloves ......

Army suplus stores sell them... Pilots wear them under leather gloves .
