| Nationwide Jet fin shortage Due to the nationwide Scubapro jet fin XL size shortage, I'm currently looking at getting a pair of the Northern Diver ones. Does anyone have a pair and are they any good - are there differences between them and the Scuba Pro ones. Also, if I need XL Scuba pro fins, would I need XL ND Jet fins? The advantage I can see so far is that the Woz spring straps look easier to fit on ND fins. All thoughts appreciated .....

| I use the ND Jetfins and love them. Small enough to use comfortably on a boat, and heavy enough to drop the ankle ingots from my drysuit also. Switched from Force Fins. Will be upgrading to the Woz Spring Straps in the near future!

| the other one is turtle fins (I think) |

| Divex also do an XL jetfin, substantially cheaper than Scubapro, about £40 IRC. I use the subaqua products ones but they only do one size. My boots are 9/10 and the SAP fins are on the tight side.

| Dunno what these are like weight & size wise but for the price it might be worth a try. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=19304&item=7107244 971&rd=1 or http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=19303&item=7107049 063&rd=1 or Scubapro Jetfins: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=16054&item=7108338 959&rd=1

| Don't know about ND jets, but I had the Divex, and loved them until I tried someones scubapro jets, the scubapros had a barrel load more ooomph. A bit expensive, but great power, especially for frogkick fans. Ideal would be to try both before you part with the notes-------not always possible though. Good luck, by the way, the scubapros are great with a dry suit, but too heavy for a wet suit, they can drag your ankles down to the seahorse position if not careful. Cheers, Malcolm. |
