I've only heard of them being called bolt snaps and g (maybe it's because it's 'G' shaped) snaps.

oh sh*t, why cant people call a spade and spade!!!!!!!

A bolt snap in my books is something completely different to a g-snap. A bolt snap is the clip you use on stages and car keys etc.

See Boltsnaps look nothing like a G-snap, (need to scroll down a bit on the link)

depends how similar the G-Snap product is, i dont want anything with external locking pins etc, or anything that has a wide plate on it. Its got to hold my Green force Arrow 12 battery pack so that slim design is ideal.

Phone CSB Lifting & Marine on 0121 559 5112. They'll send you a catalogue (not online yet). A 120mm long boltsnap is £2.80 (in marine grade stainless). A 100mm Boltsnap is £2.20. They also do lengths of chain, D-rings etc etc.

If you do one thing tomorrow do this. Believe me. The catalogue is better than any jazz mag. I'm thinking of laminating it for my deco stops

Laters,
Janos

EDIT: They are online here , but not really - you can't buy anything - buit a phonecall and a fax gets you your shiny stuff in a couple of days.

But yes- you do end up flicking through the catalogue thinking "ooooooh now do i really need one of those shiny stainless thingies?"
