| I got some cheap 3mm gloves too that need replacing at the Dive show. Also i got some of the Posideon 3 finger mittens, they are awesome, really warm. Only problem with them is that you cant stick your finger up at your buddy. Tim

| I began with Typhoon drygloves, with that handy o-ring attachment system. They are very warm in the water as they have thick fleece gloves inside. The down side to this was that you either put then on before kitting up/ mask wash, or dried off your hands after washing your mask out. When they started to perforate (develop tiny holes) I tried fixing but in the end binned them for those 5mm three finger ones Dalesdivers sell. I've not looked back. The three finger ones are very warm but I might look at getting drygloves for any diving in water down to 3 degrees, Hodge etc.. Dave C |

| If you dive in any cold quarries in the winter, get dry gloves! If not, then anything will do because the water will probably be warm(ish) anyway. And yes dry gloves can get holes in, but mine were as warm as a normal wet glove when full of water, and once you have the dryglove 'system' (ie the rings) then certainly with mine (from Stoney) you can change the glove part for £3 per pair - exactly the same as what comes with the glove, takes about 5 minutes to swap them over. See http://www.baconsdozen.co.uk/gloves.htm (the Showna 660) for the replacement gloves. With these you can wear separate inner gloves (from any shop, stops them smelling so much since you can wash them) but you can get them with the liner if you ask. For £3, its really not worth keeping gloves with holes in, even if they are perfectly fine (and mine lasted around 6 months of quite a lot of wrecks before they needed replacing - again not all that long, but when you get effectively brand new gloves every 6 montsh for £3 its really not a problem) David |
