I might treat myself to some new fins, any suggestions?

I'm thinking I might treat myself to a new pair of fins. I've currently got a pair of Mares Avantix-3's and they're the only bit of my original dive kit that I still use regularly. They've been great, and since the addition of some WozStraps, they're still working fine.

But, I'm the kind of person who like to treat himself to a new bit of kit every now and again, and as I'm running out of NEW things to get, I thought I might start replacing some of the perfectly good stuff I've already got so I've got spares....

What fins have other people got experience of, and would then reccomend them..... I've attached a poll with some thoughts - don't want to know just what fins you dive, but what you have dived and would reccomend....

I've got a pair of Quattros which are great, but there's not a lot of point spending £60+ if you've already got X3's as I believe they're basically the same fin with one less channel.

I used to like my cheap-and-cheerful Typhoon Hurricanes, but they're U/S until I get round to buying some of those shiny shiny straps from Mr. Woz.

I'd either go for the ScubaPro Jet Fins or the ScubaPro Twin Speeds. One is short and heavy, the other lightweight, fast but stupidly long. Both are great fins though.

Well I've got some Northern Diver Jetfins. Appear to be bombrpoof althought the standard straps are utter crap. Which is why the WozStraps were born 'cos I wasn't going to have a snapped strap just as I was about to plop off the RIB.

How to they compare with the Turtles/ScubaPro ones? The cynic in me says that at half the price there has to be something missing.

I don't know where you'd get them from but the fins that Dolphins use seem to be pretty damn good - have you seen how fast those buggers move?

Anyway, I've a pair of Scubapro Twin Jets but they are just tooooo long. So, I've gone for a generic set of Jetfins - I would pay more than you have too as most of the brands are pretty much the same IMVHO. Get some WozStraps and you'll be sorted.

I use the force fins with the wings! works well for me, I have used most all the split fins out there including the dacor tiger range ? whats that about? but due to a toe injury, I kid not, the force fins work great and bungee straps are brill.

I use the avanti quattros which are OK. Since I've got no other fins to compare them to I would take anything I say with a pinch of salt

ND Jetfins. I like them.
Used to use Tusa Imprex but they were pretty floppy and not much good in a current - don't know how the Tusa fins you're looking at would compare.
