| Inflating blob from exhaust bubbles- marvellous Tried it for the first time last night in the pool. And what an utter piece of piss it is too. Even tried it blind with my mask off and it was a doddle. Although much easier with a side exhaust (Jetstream) than a standard reg (TX40). You can take your Buddy DSMBCi's and stick them where the sun doesn't shine. Swithland.

And OK I take your point with the YBOD. Although knowing you your blob is flourescent pink with a fashing light on top, a red nose, wiggling ears and a comedy horn fitted to the over pressure valve.

The solution: I found that shortening the strap makes it so much easier. If you don't want to cut it, then just fold it back on itself a few times and keep it in place with a little bit of line or a cable tie or something. My strap is now just a little longer than the width of the DSMB. [Edit: see attachment for picture] If anyone does have problems with too much loose line when they're deploying, this really does seem to work really well. | I always deploy this way too and find it works well. I always make darn sure my reel and line are held well away from me though - last thing you need when about to start ascent is to be dragged up by a tangle, with out reg and/or mask wbsdave, like your idea of shortening the strap on the buddy blob - another cable tie added to my kit Dave.
