Anyone dive twin 7's and twin 12's? Change in weight?

Right my usual set is a lovely pair of Faber 7's. Mmmm. Nice. However I have now got a lovely pair of Faber 12's (mmmmmm 12's) to play with.

Now the cylinder buoyancy calculators out there put the weight when empty at about the same (-0.3 for the 7s and -0.6 for the 12s). Obviously when full the 12's are much heavier as they have over a stone of air in them (bloody hell).

Anyhoo- any change in weighting required? I'd quite like to know before I swim over the 55m drop in Swithland tomorrow.

If your correctly weighted for the 7's you should be fine with the 12's.

I find I use a 1Kg more with my 7's than my 12's.

I got a fantastic plate from a chap called Woz for exactly the same reason. You should look him up.

It was 1kg difference between the two.
So 4.5kg plus ss backplate for 12's and 5.5 plus ss backplate for 7's in seawater.
