Poseidon ones are fine, or you can get the O3 ones from Andy at dalesdivers (www.dalesdivers.co.uk) which are thinner, and apparently warmer. I'd be inclined to say it was less the thickness, and more the way they're made and the lining. The O3 have the kind of reflective lining which keeps my head very warm at the moment in my hood, so I'd be inclined to go that way.

I always pour nice warm water out of my gloves, but I still get cold index finger, a symptom it seems of being left all on its lonesome.

Im using northern diver 5mm kevlar gloves. Not sold as "semi dry" but have velco around the wrist and flushing is pretty minimal. I wear a ND cortex suit and found that tightening the velco then sliding the cuff warmer of the suit over the glove to be effective.

I do tend to feel the cold badly and even in the summer wear thick gloves but ive managed 45 mins in 6c water without loss of dexterity or feeling cold in them.
