Manta Senior Anyone know the cheapest place to buy from...the few searches I“ve tried are showing a price of 150 pounds.... Pete.

Thanks Bren matey pips...Had a look at their website after we bought our Computers from them, I didn“t find any Manta reels and to be honest, never thought of contacting MR.Two Tanks...and to be really honest, I was after the cheapest price so I may stand a better chance of getting one for my 40th in April...I“ve sent Kent Tooling e-mails with regards too their shiney bits, but so far no reply... Thanks again mate. Pete.

| If you specifically want a Manta Senior why not try importing from US only $150. One of two places will send stuff as 2nd hand value $10 to avoid import duty. I know I've done this. Otherwise Kent Tooling are very good. I received 4 reels from them last week ready for a trip my buddy and I are taking in a couple of weeks. Very good quality reels. Had them delivered minus line as I prefer to line my own reels. You should give John a ring, he seemed a very nice chap to talk too and accomodating. We bought two std and two custom reels and he had them made up in under 2weeks. hth gareth

Thanks Reeve, I did have a look at Kent Toolings web site, their reels do look the business. Just waiting for a reply from them...have you any idea if the bracket on their SMB reel will take a Buddy DSMBi with a 0.1 litre cylinder, having never seen either I wouldn“t have a clue as to their size...

By bracket do you mean the loop that holds it in? If so, I don't think so, but you could ask them to do it and I reckon they'd move the velcro a bit. It wouldn't be too difficult to customise one once you have the plate on the back with some bungee or similar. To be honest, I found that being able to stow the SMB on there was a bit of a waste of time, and by the time you've stuck an SMB on a 100m reel it is massive!

I would have thought as an dsmb holder it would work fine - however not having dived with or used a buddy cylinder i'm not sure how bulky it would be compared to a normal sausage. As I said it's best to ring John and speak to him in person, he may have had a similar request and can say one way or the other. hth g.
