V weights- want some?

Lumb Bros have just started doing black plastic coated V weights. However to make the delivery pay I have to order 25kg of the stuff. It comes in 1 or 2 kg slugs and will cost a whopping £3.60 per kg.

If I can get a 25kg ish order together then I'll order a batch. PM me if ya want some.

I got a mate to get me some of these at the dive show and they are of high quality and available in - "black". They are a good shape and fit perfectly between my cylinderd and wing, because of this they are easily removed so you don't have to carry all the wieght together.

I ended up with two extra 2kg wieghts which have never been used so if anyone wants to collect (no postage) from a trip/site in the North you can have them for a fiver each. Even if you just want to look at them, this costs nothing.

Hi Woz

There are currently no suppliers making tailweights, which are very useful for those who use Faber 12's.

They are about 2.5kg.

I get asked about them all the time, so there is a market for you if you choose to fill the gap as it where.

Andy

I'll take them. I'm up at Capers mid-March - can I collect them then.

Lead casting? Blimey. Right what the hell does a tail weight look like? I can get lead cast by the ton at my local non-ferrous foundry.

Are they both tail weights there? If so how is the one on the right held in?

Just to side track a little, what's the best way of getting a V weight rigged in between a set of 12's?

Thanks

One is a tailweight, the other is a V Chunk

The tailweight goes between the bottom band and the backplate/wing using the bottom bolt to go through the hole.

The VChunks just fit behind the backplate, probably like the Lumb Bros ones

Take a trip over to www.aleutian.co.uk and have a looksee

Andy

PS I have one so can take piccies for you, and when you do them I'll have two
