Cam bands/Adding equipment ?

Are there any reccomendations for the amount of equipment that you are able to add to your cam band ? If I have a pony bottle on one side, will adding a cannister light to the other side effect how secure the band becomes ?

Pete.

Well you can stick anything up to an 18 on a cam band so I would have thought a pony and cannister would be nice and secure.

If you are really bothered, consider a Scubapro or Dive-Rite Cam band as the buckle is made from metal.

Scubapro - Good if the tanks are all the same PITA if you have different size tanks.

Dive-Rite - same pattern as the plastic ones, but made from metal.

Thanks for the replies guys...

You have a point Paul with regards too metal buckles, I´ve already had my cam band replaced after the plastic buckle was shattered, although the damage was down to a local DM who is know for damaging/breaking equipment. I replaced the plastic buckle with a steel one on the waiste band, just incase of breakages.+
