| The Remora looks like a good little knife, but I prefer something with a 'hook' in it to make line cutting easier. Some criteria: Small One edge serrated Line cutting hook on blade Sharp point not necessary I use a Beaver Eclipse, with the tip ground off and in a webbing sheath instead of the plastic one (which is fine for mounting on a BCD, but not so good for a harness waistband: ![]() Get a pair of Trauma Shears as well, and stick them in your pocket. About £2 from Maplins, Matalan, paramedic supply outfits, various other places (often sold as 'tuff cut scissors') or £15ish from your LDS!

| Kitchen Devil serrated steak knife, blade ground down and rounded off to 2 to 3 inches. Sheaf made from some old webbing. If I lose it, I only need to find a couple of quid for a new one I also carry trauma shears for cutting lines or anything that needs a bit of a grip on. Daz
