Question Which knife?

I’m looking for a small knife / line cutter for my BCD, no Rambo stuff please.

I don’t have a knife at all at the moment, but want something which will get me out of the sh?t if the occasion should arises.

Any recommendations, I’ve looked online and there are bloody hundreds to choose from.

Paul

The Remora looks like a good little knife, but I prefer something with a 'hook' in it to make line cutting easier.

Some criteria:

Small
One edge serrated
Line cutting hook on blade
Sharp point not necessary

I use a Beaver Eclipse, with the tip ground off and in a webbing sheath instead of the plastic one (which is fine for mounting on a BCD, but not so good for a harness waistband:

Get a pair of Trauma Shears as well, and stick them in your pocket. About £2 from Maplins, Matalan, paramedic supply outfits, various other places (often sold as 'tuff cut scissors') or £15ish from your LDS!

Kitchen Devil serrated steak knife, blade ground down and rounded off to 2 to 3 inches. Sheaf made from some old webbing.

If I lose it, I only need to find a couple of quid for a new one It's still with me 18 months later though.

I also carry trauma shears for cutting lines or anything that needs a bit of a grip on.

Kitchen knife will only cost you about £1.50 so if you loose it its not too big an issue. I just put it in some plastic tubing.
