Foil Force Fins:
from what i have been told (and seen) they are very long and flappy

Pro Force Fins:
Short and wide, and i think they are great

If you want to swim in a straight line they may or may not work. But if you want to do manouvering or even backward strokes, then a rigid, non-split fin, such as the Scubapro jetfin is the way to go. If you're contemplating a DIR-F course (which from your other posts, you might be), then don't buy a forcefin.

It's all very well to be a "kit tart", but not everything that's black/shiney is worthy of drooling over

David

I'll probably end up with jetfins, assuming I can get my trim right in them. Or Turtle fins maybe - Are turle fins DIR?

Course it its. It's just sometimes it's a good idea to let some other kt try it out first

Turtle are just a type of Jet fin. One thing that DIR do not specify is brand. They specify equipment characteristics.
You need the fin to fit, which may limit the choice of fin. If you don't fit into a Scubapro XL (which most DIR-types would probably say is the best choice), then the Turtle may be what you need. The foot pocket is quite a bit bigger, and I believe that they're a bit less negative than the scubapro.

Got a promotion pair about a year or so ago.

Swam 50 metres with them, sent them back.

It is the only time in the last 16 years I have been unfaithful to my jetfins.

I am ashamed.

When I think of what I almost lost by flirting with flash shite.........

Cheers,

Dave Cooper
