| Other Dive Equipment: Discuss Pocket Masks in the Dive Kit and Equipment forums: Personally, having a pocket mask in a BC Pocket makes good sense to me ... However, they are very floaty ... |

| We all know you're good Mark, but giving rescue breaths at that depth? I guess lead shot would be the best bet for this. Work out how much you need and then stick the lead shot onto the plastic case or in a small plastic container glued inside or outside the case. Araldite would probably do it. The other alternative would be to drill holes in the case as most of the buoyancy probably comes from air inside it if it is water-tight. Don't know how good that would be for the mask though.

No worries Mark .... I prefer other things for my 'Darth Vader' impressions at depth ! *wink* I was just wondering the best way to weight down the yellow triangular box ... As for drilling holes in it, that might be an option, but the boxes aren't water tight anyway. I think the 'sterility' option goes out of the window compared to getting some rescue breaths in to someone ! So, the leader so far is some weights and some araldite. What do you suggest ? Gluing coins to it ?

Don't know how much truth there is in it, but I heard that in the States there was a case of a woman sueing a paramedic after he broke two ribs giving her chest compressions and AV, she would have died without his help !!!!!!

| Slightly off the subject but worth a thought. I pulled a backup mask from a thigh pocket the other night and both clips had had come off resulting in the mask in hand with both clips and strap falling on the floor. Not a very good backup. So I replaced all my masks straps with the velcro style threaded through the hole that the clips fit into. No clips to break or slip or catch on line and stuff. Cheerio Damien
